Although it is commonly called The Lord's Prayer, Jesus never needed to pray it because he did not need forgiveness for any sins!  This prayer is a gift from our Lord that teaches us how to get in alignment with the heart and purposes of the Father.  And since he told us to pray, "Give us TODAY our DAILY bread," it is obvious that he expected us to need to do this spiritual and mental aligning every day.
